Hi there, my name is Ron also known by my grand kids and a select group of friends as PAPA or POPS or Big Papa (thanks AL), or Big Daddy Grinder.  (where did that come from Mary?)  I am a recently retired RN and along with my furry sidekick, Lenny, a very inquisitive sheep-a-doodle, we are headed off on a part time Nomadic adventure exploring the USA in our small, yet comfortable travel trailer.   This intriguing idea has been on the back burner for many, many years until now.  Retirement does have its benefits besides sleeping in each morning.   Currently, Lenny and I reside in Sheridan Wyoming however, we are throwing caution to the wind and dipping our toes into the Nomadic experience. Initially, our plan included giving up our residence,  placing our "stuff" in storage and hitting the road sometime this Summer.  However, the availability of  rental housing is scarce in Sheridan and therefore, we elected to hold onto our place and use it as a base of operation at various times during the year.  I cannot speak for Lenny (he actually speaks for himself) but our excitement is building each day as we get closer to our departure date.  Of course, there are many pre-travel  tasks and projects we need to address prior to leaving the Cowboy state and we are making slow, yet steady progress.  I should also mention that this upcoming journey is way outside of my comfort zone having never camped in a travel trailer before or boon docked, or traveled for extended periods of time.  Nevertheless, with the support of family, friends, youtube contacts, and those wonderful folks at Escape Travel Trailers in Chilliwack BC, our confidence is building and we will "endeavor to persevere".  Please join Lenny and me as we take this huge leap of faith and begin what we hope will be the adventure of a lifetime.  Of course we will document our travels via blogging and youtube reports along with some added photos on my Instagram page.  Please sign up and subscribe so you can join us and stay in the know and give us your feedback as we move forward and share our experiences with you.  A word of caution and advice, strap yourself in, this is gonna be a FUN ride or in the words of Doc Brown...."you're gonna see some serious shit".
